St Mary Catholic Church

An icon of Aspen’s townscape, St. Mary Catholic Church is one of the most-recognized structures in the Roaring Fork Valley. The church has weathered the boom of silver mining and ski tourism, the busts of war and depression, the silt-thin black dust of coal heating, and the dark stains of constant vehicle exhaust. After several remodels and structural retrofits, the Parish enlisted CCA to completely overhaul the church and give dignity back to the historic structure. The resulting design was the recipient of the American Institute of Architects Colorado Award of Excellence.
